Charles is the founder and owner of Collected Thoughts. Based in Chicago, Charles began his professional writing career while working for a pharmaceutical company where he was responsible for planning, conceptualizing, writing, and maintaining instructional content for a call center of over 80 employees. Charles oversaw the company’s launch of Panviva, a cloud-based knowledge management system, and continued iterating its content based on changing business processes and user feedback. Charles also has years of experience providing consulting services to other companies who use Panviva, in addition to working as a content manager for an agricultural startup company.
Debra has over 20 years of consulting and contracting experience. She has worked through all phases of the documentation development process. Debra has created knowledge bases using Panviva, MadCap Flare, and SharePoint, documenting policies and procedures for a variety of companies in the insurance, call center, finance, and government industries. During her time with Panviva over the last eight years, Debra has been both a content developer and a Project Manager for multiple implementations. This includes Western Health Advantage, Prominence Health Plan, Sentara, and Health First. Debra’s specialties include project management, scoping and discovery to determine how information should be constructed and presented, the training of content developers, process mapping and process improvement. Debra resides in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Elinor is a writer and editor with more than 25 years of experience in the publishing industry. As a content developer and editor for Panviva for the last 8 years, Elinor has worked with a wide range of companies in the medical, insurance, and finance sectors. Some of the clients for whom she has developed Panviva content include AAA, Bank of the West, Health Alliance, Health New England, and Western Health Advantage, among many others. In addition to her work with Panviva, Elinor writes travel-related copy for various clients, including an international travel network and a Big Five technology company. Her freelance editing clients have included Fidelity Investments, Harvard University, MIT, the National Park Service, Reader’s Digest, Simon and Schuster, Tufts University, and the World Bank Group. Elinor lives in the Greater Boston Area.
